Today i was riding for about 3 hours and when we were about to head back i was idling in neutral when outta the blue my quad reved and damn near reved out i killed it tried it again and it did it again so i popped it in gear and idled back home trying to keep my revs down. after washing my bike it seems to idle pretty decent a little higher than normal but not bad. what could cause that? a fault in my tors system?

You you close to running out of gas?
sounds like a air leak to me check your torq in the head and jug reed cage, intake boot for cracks, u can take carb cleaner with the bike runing and spray it around the gasket area to check for leaks. or it could be some thing with the tors system like stated above
mine would do that id be ridin and go to stop pull in the clutch and would rev like that kill switch or key wouldnt work so i played with my throtle cable and it stoped so theres an idea to
i appretiate all the help. the intake boot coming into the carb wasnt even tight i could pull it off with my hand so i have a feeling that was most of my problem. im gunna pull the carb clean it and tighten that boot and it should fix my problem?

that should do it. tight throttle cable, TORS, airleak or very lean jetting are the main causes of that sort of thing
well i think iv ruled out airleak iv tighened all the hose clamps down and got a good seal. it used to start first kick without the choke now will start about 5th with the choke full and then it will race as if its WOT. what is going on it ran absolutly perfect for a week and out of the blue this happens. If it is tors should i just start removing it? Where do i get a kit for removing the tors and whats the cost

mine just has the wire cut off...was like that when i got it
not sure of the proper method but check out some threads, there is lots on that. Also double check your throttle cable, it could be sticking and holding the slide up slightly. If it was running fine before, its probably not jetting.
