I know this is a horrible question but which way does the exhaust pipe go on does it kinda wrap around the motor on the blaster or sit by the right front tire
It doesn't say anything on I believe it is a stock pipe and silencer its like a silver silencer on it wish I could post a pic of it sorry I'm not much help first Yamaha and blaster I've ever owned so don't know alot about tem at all i
Check the for sale thread for leak tester woops... check back with what jetting you have and if any other mods you know of.. We don't want to see you fixing another blown motor..
What are you running as of mix for the break in, or are you using oil injection to break it in??? Actually i hope some one else chimes because I'm not 100% sure myself if its best idea to break a motor relying on oil injection. I'm sure you could but i don't want to say yes and than something happen but, Please please please leak test before you run that motor.. and after you do, plug chop so you can find in your jetting correctly..and you can make a leak tester pretty easy if you got some basic things lying around..
From my research what I know of the oil injection the only problem with it is that they are known to fail. The failure itself could be fixed no problem. However if you lose your oil injection mid ride you will be running lean with no oil. Witch blows the bike up that's why I deleted mine.
However a properly working system will mix oil and gas perfectly
Fine for the break in.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong that's just what I picked up from my research
Roger that thanx for everyone's time I already have everything put back together though everything in the bottom end looked fine flushed it all out started the first kick and runs well except carb is leaking everywhere but that minor I'm gonna tear into the carb today just trying to get the break in done as of now
Please tell me that the previous piston was in one piece when you removed it.
If you tried to flush out particles of an old piston from the crancase, I am afraid it would not have been succuessful as you have to split the cases to remove all the debris.
Injection oil pumps do not fail, the problems lay with the operator failing to fill, failing to practice cleanliness or allowing air to enter the system.
Do not add any oil to the gas if you are using oil injection you will lean out the AFR.
Some people advocate adding oil in the gas for break in, this is an absolute bad practice, the oil injection will provide adequate oil.
