Stupid question (Tether killswitch related)

I have been wiring up 5 different harnesses over the past 2 days. 2 DT200 harnesses, 2 stock blaster harnesses, and a KX125 harness. In a lot of parts I got last year I received a Tusk(same as Pro Design "normally open circuit") Tether kill switch with both of the wires cut the same length.
I hate to ask this, but I don't have the engine in the frame right now and I'm almost done with the harness. Anyways, according the instructions I found the kill switch has 2 wires. The longest wire goes to the coil and shorter wire grounded to frame. I've heard of wires shorting out and causing CDI failure so I'm going to wire it with the one wire to the B/W wire and the other to the B wire of either switch(key/killswitch).

Basically all I'm asking is which wire is the longer one and which is the shorter?
Keep in mind I received this kill switch with both wires cut equal lengths.

thats how i've wired them ....1 to b/w and 1 to black, the original ones that went to the keyed switch, and a single pole switch, as this is has no polarity, so it doesn't matter which wire on the tether goes where

Thought that was the case, have a Mechanical engineering degree but can't figure out the switch lol.:-[ Thanks AWK!B) Rep given!

i just went and looked at mine and i cut into my power wire at the coil and hooked it to the main part of the switch and the little knob hooked to the tether i grounded to a shock mount.
