stock crank

so it sounds like i have piston slap...so i took my head of ta have the thing bored out and cleaned up...i was lookin at the crank taday and was moving it left and right and it moves about 1/8 in all together...maybe 1/16 in left and 1/16 in right...= 1/8 in...so is that normal?

side to side is fine but up and down, cant have any play at all.
