i still have the same issue with the throttle getting stuck which ramps the engine up to full RPM's..
heres some background on the bike.
i am the second owner... the previous owner put a twist throttle on(which i still have)... now where the throttle body screws onto the carb... the threads are stripped... now the throttle body is loose and can move side to side about 1/8th of an inch...
could this be the cause of the sticking of the throttle? cuz it is not bolted solid onto the carb?

ive lubed the cable up and there is no issues with kinks or anything.
the only issue is the stripped top screw on the carb that wont go tight at all...
it only sticks when i go wide open throttle and it seems to stop when i quickly twist the throttle hard.. but i have to admit its scary when it ramps up high, and it sucks

if you take the carb cap off and cycle the throttle a few times, that will check for smooth operation of the cable to eliminate that form the list...
then put the slide in the carb and check for smooth operation...
if you cant tighten the carb cap down you have other problems to deal with.
if the carb top is stripped you should get a better carb anyways.
