Just wonder if anyone else has lengthend their steer stem. I did mine and it turned out nice. Raised by 1 inch. It gives it a nice look and kind of rakes it out a little. Not hard to do either.
I just put my banshee stem on today. Easy to do. Just cut the bottom tubing with a hacksaw and pull off the bottom piece. Swap it to the banshee axle and weld it together. The squared off inside keeps it aligned.
I should take pics of it, basically you cut the bottom and top off. Buy a longer stem tube and make it to the length of your choice and weld it back together. If you make it too long though you need to gusset up the stem mount on the frame.
