springs?

how do you get the springs off the shcoks? i want them powder coated but i dont have a spring compressor small enough what is my alternitave? any help is greatly appricated

the best way i have found is to take 2 peices of flat metal and drill a hole in the middle thts bigger than the shaft then hack saw to it so theres a slit then slide it over it then put the other one down a coupe inches and then get thos big ratchet clamps with the pistol grip to compress it easy as pie

Pic was just for show. When I use it, I mount it in a vise and attach a ratchet strap to the spring somewhere in case it decides to spit the spring.
