Just bought a 2005 blaster with a bunch of upgrades having an issue with it spitting gear oild out of the breather tube. I can run it till it gets warm make a few quick passes down the street and it starts leaking out the tube onto my fatty pipe. Its not overfilled and only does it once at normal opperating temp.

Whats the deal help me out. Runs like a top no issues shifting

How much would it cost to do the crank seals did some reading and its probably it

There's crank seal kits on eBay there not that expensive at all.

Your Gonna still want a leak tester for when the jobs done btw.( plus I'm pretty sure a leak test would have detected a crank seal)

it's only coming out the breather tube how are you so sure it's the crank seals.

How much oil are u filling the crank case up with?

I had a shop check it out changed lube it was correctly filled yes only out of the breather first quad i have a manual but just looks like a biotch to do the crank seals

Has it been jetted to suit the pipe, overheating and overfilling can cause breather blow.

650ml no more , no less of tranny oil.

So if the oil is over full it will drip out the breather hose? It can't be my crank seals because I just changed theam. But I took my quad to a shop to have it rejeted and I think they may have overfilled it.

Yes! A overfilled case will expel excess oil out the breather tube. Change it takes to second and will illimante the doubt. Just measure 650ml and fill ur case back. Oil needs to be wet clutch approved!

Also Don't trust a " pre- jetted" carb from the shop if it wasn't plug chopped and confirmed check the jetting anyways to be sure

When you change the oil, you need to take out the drain plug if you didnt...

On my old one i didnt, and putting 650ml is too much because some oil stays back farther in the engine other than the clutch where i drained from... So yes it would leak out

I trust these guys with all my quads and they did plug chop and confirmed the jetting was correct.( I was there when they plugged chopped). And I just checked the oil is a little over full so I will be changing the oil today.

Then nothing to worry on jetting, just as long as it was tested on ur quad. Every machine is different.

That's why people on her can only give u a idea and u have to plug chop to confirm.

If its overfill I gaurentee that that's the problem change it and I bet u will solve ur problem my blaster did it to me once. I overfilled
It slightly and that's what happens.

I too am having this issue and am scared to run it anymore. Please somebody help. I just dropped 800$ into mine to get it to run.

I am confused with the problems of two people in the same thread.

Who is answering who, can we focus on the problem of the original poster, ngellerbusch.
