hey guys i'm having trouble reading the smoke ring at the bottom of the porcelin. it seems like whatever main jet i use thier all the same color. anyone have any tips for me? i've went as high as a 170 main and it looks no diff. than a 155. cant figure out what i'm doing wrong..
 
yep i use a brand new plug every time and it doesnt seem to change no matter what main jet i use... i would think i would be able to see a difference between a 155 and 170..

thats funny cuz it seems like i can get my plug brown no matter what plug i use to
 
my needle is i clip above the middle. i get the bike warm on the old plug then shut it off and put in the brand new one. run wot through 6th gear until it reaches the max rpm them kill it pull in the clutch and coast to stop. then put old plug back in.
 
You don't look at the tip.You need to read the tread(how to do a plug shop) better.The ring is about mid way on the insolator.You have to cut or carfuly grind the treads off to see it.
