i dont know. my brother and cousin are all like ether you just got to yank. or it needs to be ported

no offense brah, but the only reason I even threw that out there was because you said your brother, and/or cousin, suggested porting with regard to this issue.
anyway, like i said....no offense and keep reading up on this site like I have been, there is quite a bit of good information if you just seek it out yourself and spend the few minutes to do so.
lol, well its a question that has to be asked. every now and then there will be some young kid who thinks a powerband is something you can actually buy. so chill out or get out. also you probally have a slightly bent shift fork.
oh nice you bought the red one....i bought the pink one to match my bike, and I might be buying the mr one for xmas...shhh dont tell!
