So, What oil are you guys using?

I ran castrol 2t for 20-25 tanks then switched to lucas for 10 tanks and found it runs much cleaner with same jetting then i sank my kdx in a wallerd out mud hole, cases filled up with mud so I rebuilt the motor piston looked great but had about 50 hrs on it so I replaced it alone with the crank bearings and seals

well I've been running lucas in my kdx200 for approx 6 tanks since rebuild and it does great also they sponsor some supercross events and have been in the sport a long time
the price iss reasonable ( i think its foolish to spend $14 a quart)

sounds more like your friends blaster was going to sh*t the bed regardless.;)

He rebuilt his and then used the sh*t and then about 2-3 tanks later, the rings locked up in his cylinder...and he had ran it a little rich too....so i dont know...

all I can say to that is either he didn't set his ring gap correctly, did not have the proper piston/ cylinder clearance, or has less than adequate abilities/practices8-|

to imply that this was caused by using brand X oil (any brand properley mixed) is ludicrous

just have a look around the engine section of this forum, folks are blowing their sh*t up left and right.

I know this is old but I couldnt help myself here. By rich do you mean more oil? Because that would actually lean out the air/fuel mixture and we should all know what that would do to our blasters......exactly what happened to him.

i have ran red line, klotz-BeNOL, yamaha lube and Torco GP-7 these are all good i have ran in my banshee all three of my banshee and my 2 250r hondas and now i am running red line yet agian in my blaster. all bike were stock to built bikes.

took that advise from a bike mechanic swears buy it even ?'d him again last week before i made a fresh mix and it's running perfect. i ran it all last summer like that and he just scoped the cyclinder and said it was flawless which is amazing considering the only thing that's been replaces is one crank seal

to each there own.. not this guy.. il stick to my 32:1
