Snowmobile shocks...

Well guys, i saw a thread on this a little while ago on the forum. Curiosity finally got the best of me, i measured the length of the front shocks off my 1994 ZR 440 sno pro, and lo and behold! The length was nearly identical. I ripped off the old shocks and threw on the Fox Shocks w/ ressies on the front. The problem i immediately noticed was how soft they were. When standing on my quad, the front arms were bowed up because of how soft they were.

My only question is, where could i get some stiffer springs for them?

you should be able to adjust them so there stiffer

the adjusters are pretty much cranked down all the way. Shock springs could just be worn out.

could be, if you have a shock compressor you can change them out for stiffer springs

i seen fox shocks for sleds on craigslist all the time... if anyone has aset layin around that can throw them on there blaster .. let me know how they work..

you could fab up some 1/4" spacers then reinstall the springs on top of them

you need to do a few calculations so you dont run into coil bind isues... will the stock springs fit?? whats the spring rate??

the shocks dont touch the arms at all. And i have no clue on the stock spring rate.

I did finally find a place though that can get me some stiffer springs though that isnt too far away!
