well im gonna be gettin some +2 a arms for my shee. i am probably gonna also get some 4 snow tires and the ski conversion (ATSki) for it. how do you guys think this will be in the winter for snow. will i be able to hang with the sleds (like older 440's)

Maybe this is a retarded question.... but since i have a fellow member on the same snowbelt as me....

Couldnt you do that conversion..and take an older set of rear tires to the ski-doo dealer and get them to stud the tires for better traction????

That ATski looks pretty cool...could you convert a blaster with that as well?? what kinda money does the kit run??

cheers

Ill ask the guys at the bombardier dealer next time im in there if they think it would work.... kinda looks like you could make those ATski kits yourself too.... then again i seen them on ebay for under $100 for the kit..then you just need the skis etc..

I wouldn't even bother, they would look at you like you had horns on your head, just get a cheap set of tires abd try and find some used studs and some tire gunk and go for it, let us all know if it works, my only fear is that the tire would be too damaged to hold together for long, but I say experiment away

get some paddles , thats what I use , 10 rib paddles work great , this year I'm gonna make a set of ski's for the front end , just make it so it mounts to the stock hub , gonna use maybe a snowboard and cut it in half widthwise , its all rear brakes at that point , but the paddles make stopping pretty good too

Yes, I was going to recommend some sand tires.

if i do drive on the road a little bit will it completely mess them up or will they be ok. i live right on the lake so thats where i will be riding most of the time.

there is a guy on PSJ that did this with his banshee. he used paddle tires for the rear i think. his name is like amatobanshee.

get the tracks :D I'd run that lol. can't tracks go anywhere? I mean, if they're made f the right stuff... you can take metal ones all over, excavators are unstoppable... so... granted they hold up to rock/asphalt I'd imagine the tracks would be a force... not sure, but if the 700 has a hard time moving them maybe not a good 2 stroke toy... I'd just soup the bike up to move them lol. but it depends how stable it is riding them at higher speeds I suppose and aggressively look like a snowmobile tread tho... so, if you can convert quads, and you can convert the front of a snomobile, can you convert the rear? I'd imagine the power those things have would make one HELL of a quad :D

Sled are so cheap i guess i dont see the point other than check it out cool factor. Christ a indy 500 polaris can be had for 500 bucks. How much is the conversion.
