OK so heres the new pics with the clear coat on the plastics that are done so far. In person it brought the pink out a lil more but im not sure in the pics. I kinda wish it turned out a lil darker pink so you could notice it a lil more, it just looks to close to white if you ask me. But she loves it so far and thats all that matters on this build...lol
i like it, the subtle color looks awesome, and i can tell thats her frame, it looks like its on the dining room table, << thats blaster runnin through your veins
Well heres a couple more parts I got PC'ed for the Girls blaster build... LMK what you think. By the ens of the week I should have her PC'ed Banshee shocks in the mail and Ill post pics of them as well.
Looks cool man, I still have a bunch of that pink powder left if you need anything else done. I don't have any use for it myself so it's kind of for you at this point. I:I
What did you paint with? Did you use a sprayer or rattle can them? I found a really nice selection of paint at Checker Auto Parts that comes in quarts for a sprayer and they have a clear coat with sparkle in it. That's what I'm using for my little girls blaster.
^^^Yes I will deffinatly be sending you more stuff. I still have the front and rear hubs to get done as well as the carrier and a couple other small things. You do great work man!! I used Krylon Fusion paint for the plastics and it turned out well and holds up good. Put a coat or two of clear and it really helps alot.
Cool yeah I used krylon on my wife's plastics a few years ago, it's held up ok but I'm hoping this liquid spray on laquer holds up even better. I just bought a cheapo sprayer from harbor frieght to put it on with so we'll see.
Ya deffinatly let me know cause I may redo the girls bike since it turned out a bit lighter than I excpected but it still looks good. I think the way it is now the PC'ed parts will really stick out since they are a bit more of a brighter/ deeper pink
Yeah they might stick out a little. I got all her plastics primed last night so I'm going to do some wetsanding tonight and more priming and then they should be ready for paint. I'll get you some pictures when they are done and also let you know how well it worked.
I imagine if you take your time yo could use red and white and get it to the right shade of pink by using the liquid stuff like I'm using. It's a good fuel/chemical resistant paint so hopefully it will hold up nice.
