on my blaster when i rev it up it takes a while to return down to idle. when i ride and pull in the clutch it doesnt idle down much at all until i shift gears. kinda like the trottle cable is sticking, but its not, as it is a new cable. it am thinking it could be the air screw but i am not sure if clockwise is richer or leaner. any help would be appreciated. thanks

put the air screw 1 1/2 turns out. what you have done to your blaster? if tors is still on the top of the carb, might be stickin in there, take the cover off and hose it out with wd40, take the slide out of the carb and spray it and the inside of the carb with carb cleaner. your idle also might be a little high, try turnin it down some.

does backing it out make it richer?? i am thinking that my piliot jet might be too lean? the motor is all new so i dont think i have an air leak.

i get this too. not really slow, but slower than others in vids ive seen. it might be because i have an exhaust leak at the head. this may be your problem. how bad is it to run with an exhaust leak? ie, not normal backpressure?

A little strange, I am actually having the same issue with the blaster I just purchased. More like 89Custom says not really slow but compared to vid's Ive watched on Utube it seems like it takes a few seconds for it to return to idle after reving it up. Ill be interested to see what other's have to say.

i am thinking that i should increase the size of the piliot jet from a 32.5 to a 35. what do you guys think??

Mine use to do the same so i just backed the idle screw out so it wouldnt idle anymore so i didnt have to deal with it.Then i changed my crank seals 1 day and it had idled great ever since and comes down really quickly. And no exhaust leak would have nothing to do with it considering i have a huge ass 1 and mine idles fine.
