I had 2 stroke Ski-Doo sleds for years. Now I find myself on a 4 stroke Arctic Cat.
Still have an old 300ss Elan hanging around, but it is a basket case at the moment.
Had TNT 340 and Safari 377 and others in the past.
The old "Comfy Couch". About 55mph and great on fuel. Not very performance oriented but handles well.
Whew, is there anything more ugly than a 40+yr old guy with a 'stash?
And don't get any ideas, its my daughter...
Last springtime run of about 2008 I'd guess, still have the sled.
Interesting typography around here. I live on a valley floor.
May be little snow here but if I can make it 2 miles away there can be plenty on the low hills.
Old Elan (french for "Moose").
300ss twin cylinder with tuned pipe and about 27hp I believe.
Does about 60mph top speed and very thirsty on gas.
Narrow and flops over on turns, even with ski wideners on it.
Slide suspension adds a bit of weight over original bogey wheels but handles speed better.
Looking into a new stand up style sled like the Ski-Doo Rev chassis. They ride like a bike.
