Should I keep this UGLY Blaster

I guess with all this support I'll keep it, but where is a good place to get some cheap used parts to replace the beat up stuff thats on it, like plastics handlebar, exhaust (it has none now) ???

oh, and since I know it wasnt taken care of much, what kind of maintenance should I do to it before I take it out and beat on it a little?

check for cracks in the intake, check the oil injection system if it has one. new plug, new tranny oil

Start by cleaning it the best you can. Lube cables, suspension, chain. Inspect everything for worn parts. I:I

Parts as mentioned on ebay and also look on CL where you found it. There is a guy in my area selling a 2002 with a bad engine, nice looking Blaster for $300....been trying for awhile now so could probably get it cheaper. Hey--I still get ridden and I aint no beauty either. Slap some lipstick on that pig and roll it!!

Also check the "for sale" section of this forum for cheap parts sold by your blaster bro's.

I see cheap plastics for sale from time to time and Braaaptor currently has a stock bumper listed for $20 shipped.

that's not ugly!!! it has TONS of potential and you should fix it up! you'll be surprised and glad you did trust us! once you fix these things up so much you'll be able to eat 400ex's all day long! mine was in the same shape as yours when i got it except my plastics weren't painted and look in my sig to see how far mine came!

For maintance just luge cables,grease everything, oil and adjust chain, clean and oil filter, make sure everything is tight, change tranny fluid, i like to use a fuel filter clean or change or add one if you dont have one,
