Shift star mod how to vid........

i've never liked the shift star mod and prolly never will but i like to know what gear im in at all times

to each his own i guess

So this makes it so I need less effort to shift? How can I get it so that there is less play in the shifter?? Like not as much up and down play?? Riding my brothers dirt bikes, they have much less up/down play in the shifters....any way to tighten the blasters shifter up other than making the lever shorter???

You need to adjust your shift shaft. Its done with your shift shaft adjustment screw. Pause this video at 40 seconds and you can see what im talking about. The shift shaft slides over the adjustment screw which is locked down by a lock washer. There needs to be equal play in the top and bottom when you adjust it. You will see what i mean when u tear into it.

Also make sure the metal on your shift ARM isnt worn down. That can cause sloppy shifting as well.

Wow, your blaster motor gained an extra cylinder!! Sweet!! haha.

So I need to pull off the clutch and then pull the shaft out?? I see the shaft but not sure where the adjustment is?? How much do I have to take the motor apart to adjust the slop in the shifter??? If I have to rip the whole thing apart I'll just deal with it but I appreciate the help! rep

Heres a pic of the shift shaft adjustment screw. looks like itll be tricky with the clutch in place but probably possible... Thanks for the rep!
