Finally got some time to paint and assemble this shee axle. I had to modify the rotor hole to fit the shee rotor holder. The rotor is not in the same possition as the stock set up so i had to modify the gixxer break setup as well. I could assemble this thing in 1 day if i wasnt on a part hunt and part wait. This shee axle is the ticket for a wider affordable stance.:)

Great write up,most importantly this answers the question of awk's brakes working with a shee axle and the answer is,yes they will work.I have and still do run shee axles and they are a great improvement for sure.

Yes, they will work with awks brakes with a very minor mod. Took me like 15 min. to change the location of one hole.

Good to know for sure.Post up some close up pics when you have a chance to help others out that get in the same predicament.

[/IMG]Some very close ups of mod and location of awks bracket to fit a shee axle. All you have to do is dremel one hole ablong for clearance and install bracket on the left side of the carrier instead of the right and awk can correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure the bracket is on the right on stock set up. I removed the brakes so long ago i cant even remember .One other thing you will need some washers between the carrier and bracket to get the exact distance as shown in the picture, you will see the gap.
