Shearer_VS_LRD

If your looking for more top end then shearer is the way to go on this one. Personally I like more low to mid range then top.

not bad now i know what my lrd is good for the low to mid.... but thats good cuz i just ride trails and woods neways so im satisfied that i went with the lrd

wow!!! very interesting dyno chart... the lrd didnt seem to do as wel as it 'should have'.
and the shearer would stil be agreat trail pipe.. look at the power curve.... for someone that trail rides like i do and spend most of the day in the upper range it would work great!!! but yes the lrd has more low...

this explains the hard hit of the shearer pipe...

interesting ,one thing i noticed is the chart is set up for 6-9 grand scale well into the meat of the curve ,so how bout you zoom it back to show the whole picture so we can see what happens earlier in the powerband where trail riders operate in and get an idea of lowend acceleration and torque instead of a narrow margin high up in the scale ,just a suggestion for more accurate display of the pipe comparison

well in my observations of prior the pipes he sells are the ones that do the best? i have a lrd and it is a damn good pipe, im not downing shearer or kennedy i just would like to see a more wide display of the pipe, from idle to max power, if you look at the numbers at the top, it shows just how close these pipes are in comparison

That LRD pipe is the old pipe from the 90s. Its the adjustable pipe, I do not have there newest pipe to test. I wanted to make additional runs; but had issues with the clutch.
When I get back to testing the Blaster, I will display more of the picture, I thought it might make it harder for others to understand. Thanks for your input Dennis.

this is only a suggestion, but if it was possible run them in real environment with ur p/p setup on 2 blasters and drag em in the dunes or 300 ft with the same setup, same rider, with the pipes see which one reacts better at what point

As soon as we get good weather in MI, if thats possible.
I am working on a set up that will help the clutch from slipping, from the last months of Blaster dyno testing, we need to get a better set up.

sh*t that would be one bad ass vid of diff pipes run on the 300 ft, or a dune race, but it would have to be run by the same rider, since every rider is diff, to hear where each one picks up, like i said if you have the time and place to do it, i know not many people do.

Problem with that is there is no such thing as 2 of the exact same rider. There are no two riders out there that are build exactly the same that have the exact same riding style or experience.

Heres the bottom line, I know for experience from riding Davids Kennedy P&P motor with the Shearer pipe that it pulls really hard. But I also know that we drag raced about a 300ft strip 6 or 8 times and me with my stock set up w K&N intake, Boyeseen 2 stage reeds and FMF pipe beat him twice. Now, means that his Kennedy build motor with VF3's and CFM air box w bigger carb beat me more times. The average win for him was between a bike length and and a bike and a half.

That is just my opinion. When buying a pipe dont just buy the pipe because you like the way it sounds or buy it because everybody has one. Buy it because it produces and does the things that you want it to.

thats what im saying, every rider is different, thats why i said drag the different bikes with the same rider with the different pipes, see where which one pulls where. which has better low mid and high, it would be a good project for someone with the time

I was thinking about getting the LRD Pipe. I got the Sheaer because it suited me for what i needed it for.

Edit:Stephen you beat me cause i messed up on the launch.....haha

I can tell you that my set up pulls really hard. for the first time since i got my +4 swinger i could pull the front wheels off the ground without trying. Its nice.

Also i know that peak HP numbers sound cool. but what good is a 50HP blaster is non of the power is usable? cause its fast and has lots of power at WOT? How long are you ever at WOT in a 2 stroke?
