My sister in law wants to start riding. We've gone out, and she has rode the Bayou quite well.

I picked this Gem up for $200 today for her. Nothing fancy, but its all there. Everything checked out ok, except the main bearings are smoked, and the Cylinder needs a clean up bore.

THe cases are split, and I'm going to start ordering parts.

Do you always look so hostile and serious in your pic Fred? lol
Your sister in law got a big happy smile on her face, but the look you got on your face in the first pic makes me want to run and hide! lol :p:D;):)

I saw Colescustom's ad on here. The plastics he has for sale are more than I paid for the entire Gem I have sitting in my garage.

I'm glad you want to check out my thread, and watch me build a Blaster, trust me I am. But dropping on everyone's threads dropping sales pitch's for your buddy is going to piss people off!!

I'm not mad at ya Bud, Just trying to help you help yourself :)

Where did you find this! been looking on craigslist from Michigan through PA near you and haven't seen anything pop up for cheap like that!

Well Ive rounded up quite a bit of parts. The crank I bought off fast hand checked out OK. The plastic's are purple, perfect for her , and are coming soon from Daugust84. The cylinder was sent out today to get some love from KOR. We are going to start working on the frame and components this weekend. It needs a-arm bushings and a few other things.

I got it all spray bombed. Its far from a good job, but it served the purpose. Took a few days, but its done. I did it black with purple accent. I'm not complaining cause it cost me $20.

I got alot of parts trickling in. I hope to have the crank in and the case halves back together tomorrow night. I can't do much with the rest of the bottom end, cause the bendy washers and c-clips are coming with the cylinder.

Hopefully I can get alot done this weekend, and this coming week.

We got alot the cases back together last night. I messed with alot of the electrical stuff today and did alot of little time consuming stuff like run cables, eliminate tors on the carb, change the steering stem, etc.

She was really using that torque wrench too. I showed her how it works and how to adjust it. She did all the case bolts.
