setting up a z400 rear shock

anyone running a z400 rear shock?, i just put this one on lastnight... I could use some advice if anyone here is running on this shock, some basic settings on compresion and rebound to start from. I weigh 175 pds and the spring on the shock is set about half way. theres a clicker on the bottom and a turn screw on the top...I ran a 400ex and it was the same lenghth as this shok but the adjustments were different.

yeaaaaa !!! i got it, i set both at half way, went out and hit the track with it, the rebound was perfect set at half way, the compression turnes out 3 1/4 turns and i eneded up setting it at one turn out...FEELS GREAT now !!!

pretty much same as 400ex, a little more worl required on the bottom cause the shock isnt as wide as the 400ex. i had to drill out the bottom mount bigger(to accept the blaster bolt), add 4 washers, 2 to each side of the shock to take up some space......the top i had to use the smaller bolt that cam ewith the shock and add a little 1/2 inch long bushing on each side to make the bolt snug in the shock mount holes, plus a few washers to m,ake it fit snug and not slide back and forth. I can snap a few pics if ya want.

i have a 400ex rear...i thought the z400 was the same...post some pics!!

sure......they are the same except the bottom mount, mine was off a 2007 z400, the only diff i found was the width of the bottom mount.

is that what it is ? I just got it from ebay a few days ago, its a good shock, great rebound and compression. but anyways, the guy said 07 z400. its deff kfx400 green !!!
