School me on adjustable pipes

and yes like said before a longer tuned length will slow the return resonance and work better with a short duration setup.. so a low-mid setup.. by shortening that tuned length the pipe returns sooner that works well with a longer duration exhaust port.. gettign the pipe to return at the right time in comparison with the ex port is the key.. if you played with the adjustment on a dyno you'd be able to actually tune the pipe to teh engine. there are ALOT of adjustable LRD pipe on banshees runngin around..

its about as close as you will get to the 'perfect pipe' my buddy runs a lrd big bore adjustable pipe on his 250r ( lrd 350 power valve big bore kit) with a 39? mm air stryker, 195 psi compression cr250 cdi....

he has his pipe about midway set up.. with the porting done to it.. the pipe is set up for the 'hit' right after the power valve drops... 70+ arm rippin HP!!!!!

there more to a pipe then that length.. i wouldn't call that the "perfect pipe" lets call it a forgiving pipe..
