I have an LRD adjustable pipe and wonder what difference adjusting it in or out would make. Here is a pic of the pipe before I took it off and repainted it...

ive never heard of an adjustable pipe for a blaster, mostly 250r's and quadzillas. however, they are so you can adjust the powerband for more mid, bottom, and top. wether they work im skeptical, however, lengthening the pipe should give you more bottom.

The bigger portion of the pipe...from what i understand its adjustable so that u can tune the powerband for low or top end. I was just curious if anyone has ever had one.

U beat me to it lol. So the longer the pipe, the more bottom end? The way it was set before was as short as it would go so that would have been set up for top end power right?

The adjustment on the pipe is most definitely to adjust where your powerband is, as someone already said. The only thing is, once you start adjusting them they leak, so you have to get it where you want it, tighten it up, and seal the sh*t outta the joint with some high heat copper gasket maker or something like that. I do not know which way you need to adjust it for bottom/mid/top end power though. I'm not going to try to be like some other people here and just shoot out bad information.

that chnges the "tuned length" of the pipe.. by varying the tuned length of the pipe you can better suit that pipe to work with different ex. port durations..
