Rusty Header Pipe?

So I have a full pro circuit exhaust system, a platinum fatty pipe and a stainless series muffler. Muffler is good, fatty is rusted to all hell, previous owner didn't take care of it. Right now I'm using a wire wheel on an electric drill to bring it back, but it's making it look like brushed stainless instead of the nice shiny finish it had originally. Any tips on how to get that look back?

Also side note, how does that exhaust sound? Right now it's extremely cold out and the carb is f**ked so I have no idea how it sounds. Lol thanks guys.

i had to use a paint stripper wheel attached to drill distorted the color a lil but looked way better then rust.
and the aluminum foil method.

I would just paint it with gloss black engine paint but that's just me...

That's basically what I'm doing speedy, and it looks nice, just not AS nice as that original chromy look I'll try that aluminum foil stuff after I finish clearing off the rust, it's pretty bad haha, and I could paint it but the paint scheme I have in mind would look really nice with a metal pipe blasta. Lol
