hey guys my blaster has a fmf gold series fatty on it, i love the sound and power, but it looks horrible. its all rusty. my idea is to use a wire wheel then a buffing wheel to get the rust off and shine the pipe. then use high temp clear coat (2000 degrees). what are your ideas and thoughts on this? any ways to get the rust off without using the wire wheel and making swirl marks in the metal? if not ill just make the swirls as uniform as possible. thanks guys !!I:I

You could use a rust resolving gel n a green no scratch pad to get lil to no swirl marks. If you have n advanced auto parts store near you they sell it, I know cause I work for one.

I just bought a Blaster gun for 10 bux at tractor supply that works awesome, i piped it to a 5 gallon pal,I would media blast it.If u use soda it will be less abrasive, light sand will give it a textured look but you could work up to 2500 grit sand paper wet sanding then clear coat, the media blaster will mke fast work but you need a large compressor to keep up,my 40 gallon had a hard time, great for small projects tho.
I wish i had gotten it before starting the rebuild instead of a wire brush.
I use a buffing wheel on my drill also for polishing things Along with polishing bricks of different grades.

I have the same pipe, I had a bunch of rust/ hard packed dirt on it, I used sand paper to get it all off.

u can use an electrode process. i used it on my fmf gnarly pipe, and it worked great! it would have worked better if i used a batter charger instead of a battery but its all i had. here check it out.

you can try a solution I've had a few friends use for rust removal, 1/3 diesel, 1/3 automatic trans fluid, and 1/3 brake fluid, I haven't tried it myself but I've heard good things
