well as far as paint... its stayin black primer.. cuz thats the look we want, our options right now are blue flames with ether a white pin strip outlining the flames, or silver tips on the flames, OR scallops are allways a good option for the 'traditional hot rod' look that we are going with, OR no flames no scallops, and do some old school pin striping on the hood and trunk lid, and some accents here and there,
for sure.. were gettin 'Rockin 88' air brushed on the trunk lid on ether side of the oldsmobile emblem
for now its stayin in cruiser mode, right now the exhaust is y piped to glass packs, and out the back, it will get changed to true duals keeping the same pipe size it is now, and ether running no mufflers or some original flowmasters, and will have long 4-5 inch chrome tips with spark plugs in them
ether way its a 'radical custom' and i still need to get the floor shifter in with a unnessisarly long shifter, and some other touches, things will constantly get added to it over time...
and yes the 360hp number was with a 2bbl carb.... so a 4 bbl should shoot it closer to 400hp... look it up.. 1965 oldsmobile super rocket 425 big block, 'ultra high compression' its a factory optioned motor, 10.25:1 compression instead of 9:1 .. i did my research on this car and the motor/trans before buying it, also the first year for the turbo hydromatic trans mission, with the optional switch pitch converter, 1500 stall speed unless punched wide open than it stalls to 2800 rpms.. pretty trick for 1960s tech, there is directions online on how to bypass the actuator for the switch pitch to make it full time 2800 stall, with out any harm to the trans or converter
