My blaster revs extremely high when needing to go in to reserve is it suppose to do that?

That is your blaster leaning out just as it runs out of fuel. That is normal but NOT recommended. If you have your oil injection blocked off, the fuel is the only supply of oil to the engine and if you're starving it for gas, you're starving it for oil.

You should monitor your fuel level and switch before it begins to starve.

Sounds like an air leak. Check your intake boot, head gasket, exhaust, and cylinder gasket.

So true! Turn gas off pull hose off of carb, get a bucket turn to reserve any gas flow??? if not take petcock out and clean the screen(filter).

Is this right before needing reserve? If so that is normal. You ran the carb dry so it leaned out.

When a motor runs out of fuel, the lean fuel mixture will cause it to rev excessively, not a good situation to be in.
