rev/idle help..

i think when mine did that it was the motor side of the carb, and the metal strap tightener came loose i couldnt tell by looking i had to tighten it up good and it want away. it IS an AIR LEAK. thats fact, but were can be fun to figure out. try on the inside of your airbox and make sure every tightener is tight and on the carb and the reeds. the reeds could need some sealer or a new gasket, but its definatly an air leak.

well with the stock blaster that i have, i rebuilt the top end and replaced all the gaskest on the motor. im gonna try tightenin everything up again and see if it hepls.

also if it were an air leak why would the problem not be consistent and the quad rev up whenever its idling?

from what i can see there is nothing pulling on it but im taking my front end apart tio put new a arms on so i should get abetter look then

Your engine seals differently when its hot as apposed to when its cold. Double check your intake boot and head gasket (head gasket bolts strip easy dont over tighten)

Another way to test for an air leak is when the bike is cold and idling (when it doesnt rev up on its own) spray some starting fluid around where the leak could be. The quad will instantly rev up if it sucks any starting fluid in.
