Hello! I’m Caleb! Iv been on the forum for about a month or 2 or something like that, and after this long and a bunch of help from a few others on the forum, my blaster seems to be running right, At my dads shop where I work on it, he has a spray booth and he’s offered to let me repaint the plastics! The original owner repainted the plastics with yellow paint with Red flakes, he clearly wasn’t a professional because the paint is chipping off really bad, this is a ‘91 blaster, (will add pics), can anyone please give me some advice to repainting them? I know I need to remove the current paint, but what’s the best way? It’s mainly all chipping off except some patches, so I thought maybe sanding it down? I also know that it cannot have scratches in the plastic but the sanding should take care of that, any amount of advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Start with this https://www.google.com/search?q=air...oid-sprint-us&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Use this :https://www.google.com/search?clien...71l5.0.0..17602...0.0..0.0.0.......0.iBOHcB4L

Use very fine wet/dry sand paper 400 grit being coarsest I would use, maybe even 600.
Preparation is the key.
If you are using automotive paint you need to add a flex agent to the paint. At this point the whole project becomes cost prohibitive :(
If just rattle can, continue on.
An automotive paint retailer could give you the best information.

Awesome thank you! I’ll start checking out those links! And also great to see you on this thread of mine too Larry!

At the spray booth we have a Cat TripleAAA water borne pump setup, thats what we’d be using to repaint the plastics, what type of paint would you highly recommend?
