removing paint for grounds?

I'm new to ATVs and have a freshly painted frame I started putting back together.

As I was running the wiring harness and bolting up the electronics I started to wonder, do I need to strip the paint off to bare metal where the Ignition bolts to the frame?

If so what else needs to be grounded to bare metal?

How can I prevent the metal from rusting at those points? Dielectric grease?

I bought this thing is pieces so putting it back together is a lot trickier when I didn't take it apart.

the bolt should ground it if it needs to be grounded. I didn't see anything about that in the clymers manual. if you are assembling a bike you never assembled before I would suggest purchasing a clymers manual. it has pictures and everything you need to know about assembly and maintaining your blaster

I have the Yamaha Service manual, is the Clymer's that much better?

Not sure I only have the clymers. I guess it is as good as long as it has pics and instrucitons on complere disassembly and assembly

Sand the frame to bare metal where you want to put the ground. Use some grease to keep it from rusting.
