ok so i have a completley stock blaster. i have ordered a toomey exhaust and i would like to get some aftermarket reeds for the bike as well. what kind of reeds would make a nice upgrade for a stock blaster?

*cough*cough* hahahaha jk jk, if you are just looking for some reeds grab some boyesen CF dual stages or pro series CF ive had great luck with them. if you want a bit more gain you can grab some VF3's or a RAD valve and thats a whole new reed cage adn everything. RAD valves are only good for bottom end power unless you open tehm up some more, VF3's are pretty much plug and play.

ive seen em on ebay for as low as 130 and as high as 180

Yup, it all depends on what's for sale at the moment. VF3 reeds give a nice boost in throttle response and are basically just bolt-on and go. You have to modify the stock intake boot slightly, but they come with directions and it isn't hard to do.

i refuse to touch anymore of these reed threads,
i'd like to keep the freinds i have, cough, cough
baaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaa

i bought a set of "AKTIVE REEDS" on ebay for like $20, they proved to be a good buy, for an aftermarket fiberglass reed, definately helped with throttle response,
so as you see, you can go cheap, mid range for dual stage carbon, or the high dollar full cages, and still be an improvement over stock
