So one side of my Boyesens doesn`t quite seal against the cage. I talked to a yamaha mechanic and asked him if that could keep my Blaster from starting and he said yes. What do you guys think?
If your curious about it, you can maybe try turing the reed around to see if it will maybe seal/touch better that way. Of course this is only a temp fix if it even works at all for you.
its often said the limit of clearance off the block that it is allowed to be is same as the thickness of the reed being used (often around .030) but also keep in mind a worn reed is a junk reed and wont seat right *flipping it doesnt make it last any longer or work any better BTW the yhave a service limit its probably around same amount of time for the piston id say
