Okay so i have an 04 that i recently had the motor in bored over and got dualstage power reeds and a new reed cage i have rejeted the bike to the specs i was given and still am having huge issues .

number 1 the bike has a huge loss of power some times it seems to be okay and then out of nowhere i loose everything i think it might be running hot not sure though need to get a temp gauge for ny case

number 2 cant get the damn thing to evan come remotely close to wanting to idol

its driving me crazy i have tried everything i can think of or come up with to try and fix it thought i might have gotten some water in the cdi box so took it off dried it and wraped it up to ensure it wasnt that have taken rechecked my jetting cleaned my filter i cant figure it out

oh also if it helps i have a fmf fatty and power core 2 on it with a k&n air filter

all suggestions welcome

i need to check the plug but the jetting is set to how I was told to do it a 260 main jet needle settings to the third position now here is my question i may have f*cked up hard on this part what is the first position the top or the bottom of the needle settings

now i have a 67mm wiesco prolite piston with boyseen dualstage reeds and reed cage fmf fatty pipe with a powercore2 silencer and a K&N high flow air filter i run a 32:1 fuel mix and have removed the snorkel for better air flow if u can tell me if i am jetting wrong let me know what i should be running at

ty very much

If you don't have an air leak or any major problems like that then start your jetting where it originally was and then JET DOWN.

When you get new or better reeds a common mistake is to jet up. But you need to jet down.

When someone tells you some jetting specs its just a starting point of testing, noone can really tell you what jetting to run because all motors run different, weather,altitude...If by loss of power you mean that it bogs down, the you are running rich,go down on the main jet maybe 2 sizes, adjust your air screw, mainly its 2.5 turns out, but you may have to play with it depending where you are. If it doesnt want to idle, mess with the idle screw on top of the carb, this is only available if you still have the TORS, to acces teh screw, remove your seat and under a black flappy thingy(if its stil lthere) you can see the big screw, that adjust your idle. If you stil have problem go down on the pilot size. IF your bogging problem is b4 going full throthle, then move the clip on the needle(away from the pointed end, would be 2nd opening) The closer the clip is to the pointed end the richer you will run.

IMPORTANT: After all the jetting, when you feel it good,do a plug chop to see if your aight, IF your plug is white or gray then your lean, if your a nice tan color then you are perfect, if you are black and oily you are rich.

Also, remember that with new piston, rings, you need to properly break it in or you will ruin another topend.

SOMETIMES you need to jet down.. same with a pipe sometime you jet down as well..
