rear shock

does anyone know if a rear shock from a 87 suzuki lt250r will work on a 99 blaster? I have one that is in great shape I might try if possible it's 14.5 inches from center to center with a remote resi

I haven't heard of anyone using one.
Just try it and let us know- no harm in that.

The length seems close it's just the width of the top and bottom mounts that may be the issue.

yea and let us know everyone is always looking for some cheap rear shocks that are better than the yamaha one

I worked on that shock tonight it's a 1/4 of an inche shorter than the blaster shock so that is ok but the spring is way to week so I'm going to try it with my stock banshee spring or a warrior spring I have to take them to work to change them on monday. the spring is weaker becuase the suzuki has linkage on the back I will keep you posted on the progress
