I know my kart is no quad, but it is pretty much a Blaster mechanically...

I need ideas for a rear brake setup on the kart. I was considering a Banshee setup, but have no clue how the caliper mounts. I cant find good close up pics of one to make my decision.

What I need is a caliper that can be bolted to a plate or tab style mount system similar to the rear Blaster cable setup. This makes my job easier when it comes to fabbing a mount bracket, as I can cut and weld plate, angle, channel, etc pretty easily.

The pads need to be located by the caliper itself, and not the caliper AND the caliper mounting bracket as it is in most street bike applications.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I dont care what it comes off of as long as its not some obsolete vintage part that I cant buy pads for.

FYI, I have ruled out 03+ R6 stuff, as it uses the aluminum caliper mounting bracket to locate one end of the pads. AFAIK, the GSXR does the same. I THINK 02 and earlier R6s use pins to locate the pads strictly from the caliper, so that may be an option. Anyone use this style R6 brake on their Blaster?

Any help is MUCH appreciated, and good close up pics of any setup would be awesome.

I took some pics of my step-dads banshee, i don't know if this is what you are looking for though.

I appreciate it! What I am looking for are the mounting points for the caliper; where the bolts go into the braket on the carrier. Those pics show what appears to be the top bolt. Is there another bolt hidden from view?

Thanks again, that helps alot.
