On my 89 Blaster the rear brakes need pads and I guess an adujsting. But my question is it a waist of time to fix the stock rear brake? I read that I should get a Banhee rear end on mine. So like I said is it worth it to fix my stock rear brakes or just take them off till I can get the Banshee rear end?
Thanks guys.:-/

i would suggest a gsxr1000 rear caliper and the master res and line from a banshee.....the gsxr caliper is a daul piston caliper and is much better the a banshee one

Here is a link to the setup this one is done by awk he also helped me get mine setup...mine is the same as his....awk can also make you a direct fit bracket for the caliper,

hope this helps:

When I got my blaster, the rear brakes were non-existent. It already had the short cable, so I bought some new pads and took the caliper apart. Cleaned everything up inside and installed the new pads and now I have brakes. Stalled the quad out first time I tried them. Takes a little bit of tweaking to the white cap inside before you get them dialed in. They are kind of wearing out now, but I planned on switching over to hydros anyway. I got my pads on ebay for $15 with free shipping so it's pretty cheap to give it a shot before blowing $100 or whatever on hydros. I went with the sintered pads, but I'm sure the organic pads would have even better stopping power.
