while trying to get my chain tight enough and straight i have noticed that the carrier bearings are shot or close to it, and my parts bike has brand new never ridden on bearings in it. but the sprocket hub is loose on the axle, not sure if the hub is worn or the axle. well got the carrier remved from the good bike and realized i dont have a big enough wrench to get the axle nuts off, and my pipe wrench grew legs and took a stroll into somebody elses toolbox. so what else can i use to remove the axle nuts? anybody?

problem should be solved, just went to wally world and bought a couple pipe wrenches , hehehe, they'll take ANYTHING back as a return

none such luck woth the pipe wrenches. just put the other axle assembly on the bike, turns out the carrier adjuster bolts are too short. gonna get some tomorow. anybody got any tips for loosening the axle nuts while the whole axle is not on the bike, cause im just not as strong as i thought, or blue threadlocker is damn good stuff.

Hi
Heat the treads with a blow torch
The head will break down the blue threadlocker and sould help
if not try heat and then dump a bucket of cold water on it
the temp shock sould break it loose.

good luck
Nuno

got em loose, pb blaster applied all night long and all day today. now i got the hub nut to remove. dont have a torch or i would've been done last night.
gotta go try and get the hub nut off, p/o didnt know how to put anything on properly, impact wrench kinda guy i guess. everything is so friggin tight.
hopefully i get it done today so i can ride tomorow

progress report.....
got the carriers swapped out, and put my 40 tooth rear sprocket back on vs. the 41 tooth that it came with, all i got left to do is swap my other brake disc and hub over to this one, the rubbers on the one that came on it are shot.
wrenches got a little beat up , hope wally world takes em back.

would i be better runnning the 18" rears or putting on my 22's wih the gearing? i dont do much hillclimbing but have a lot of open areas?

i was running 18's but after some advice from other members if your running the woods alot then 18's are going to hang you up alot..go with 22's or sell em and get some 20's thats what i run.
