ream the spindles?

No pics taken lately. I've thrown a bunch more money at it since then and the weather sucks around here right now (eastern Iowa).

Another note...The stock Blaster upper ball joint has a straight shank so reaming a taper into it without a milling machine or stout drill press will be a chore. Reamer is going to want to wander big time, throwing off the geometry of the front end. I'd look for a reputable MS and ask some leading questions before handing them over.

I know it's already been discussed, but I just saw this and I have to say that Burgard A-arms SUCK! Not only was it a pain in the ass to ream the spindles, but my a-arms on the warrior must have been built to the wrong specs because the geometry was all screwed up. The ball joints would bind up before the shocks hit the bump stops, and when the suspension was at full droop the tie rod ends would bind up. And of course Burgard refused to back up their product, and just said that it was a problem with my frame. The frame was replaced like a year and a half ago, and worked perfectly with the stock a-arms, STRANGE.

Anyways, I just wanted to say don't waste your money with ANYTHING Burgard. They have the worst customer service you can imagine, and I even live so close to their facility that I took the warrior in to them for them to look at it. The moron just took a quick glance at it, pointed out that there was paint cracked near the lower a-arm mounts, and told me that my frame was all messed up. The frame was most definitely NOT "all messed up".

So yeah, ASR's or Wickeds are the way to go for decent a-arms without spending a fortune.

hey guys what happens if you dont tapper the hole of the spindle?

Yep, thats the reamer that I bought, however, i got an awesome deal on some banshee spindles that were all setup already for the Burgard's so i didn't even use it :) Burgards will ream them for you for the same $50 it'll cost you to buy that tho, just fyi....

i ordered the tool today. hopefully it wont be too difficult to get them all set up for the new arms.
