re-worked head, no milling

Question for you tuning guys.

I hear people say that the head design on the blaster sucks. How much of a difference would it make to have the head re-worked, not milling it (unless that is necessary for the job) or anything, just straight up having the head re-worked? Would that make any noticeable gains with stock pipe, or with an FMF pipe??

Like everyone, I'm always looking for a tiny bit more power, but I don't think I'm ready to go all out and do a porting job....my rings are fresh, the piston is fine, and I'd like to wait until I'm going to do a new piston to do the whole sha-bang, ya know? So is it stupid to do just the head or would it be worth it??

it will help out some, the blaster has a real poorly designed head, with a little reshaping and a changing of the squish, angle and clearrnce, it will be brought up to modern 2 stroke specs

Squish, angle, and clearance....all things that involve just working on the head, correct?? Won't involve any reworking of the ports, right??

Any idea where I could get something like this done??

No milling is a real handicap as you can't document changes to see what you've done or where you need to go.
Here's just one post with a drawing from Blaner that will give you an idea what folks are talking about with things like squish , blaster cone chamber & modded hemispherical dome.

There is a lotta head info on the site ... it's just spread around to keep it a mystery ... LOL ... be cool if an ambitious, knowledgeable member could put it together in a way we could easily reference & compare ... maybe a new thread ... head mod thoughts & specs ...use Civics explanations as a base and add specs from those that are willing to share. Don't need to steal anything from builders, just mods that peeps have found successful. cull out what ya want ...

man that would be awesome .. if someone wanted to throw a post together w all the info and pics w depth and specs of everything else i will try to figure this squish and all out I:I

okay, i have to stop at my parents house anyway after work. no problem.

no si imma do this w a hand sander and a dremmel ! j/k bro i know sh*t like this takes some serious work and time put into it . i used to build race briggs for cart racing years ago but the 2stroke is alittle new to me and we had rule books to follow back then .
