re-routing intake

I think i will be getting rid of my airbox completely cause im tired of the bruppp noise. i was thinking about cutting the whole airbox out of my plastics and getting a piece of 4-6in velocity stack and clamping on a uni. Although i like riding through a little bit of creeks i was gonna have the uni kinda directly under the seat. i wanna know the best style of uni filters. and i need help from YB200 for jetting to start at.

as for jetting start with a 330 main and go until it runs good and not lean

I have a 340 main in it right now. I was gonna try to get a Mikuni 28mm or a Keihin 34mm. that way once i get my head milled and my cylinder ported, i will only have to get the damn thing jetted. Im tired of riding my 400ex. it gets so boring

I think you need to keep your blaster and your grizzly. i'd love to get a 240 BB but i need to get my swingarm longer.

if an open filter, it doesn't matter where it is under the seat, if you go flying through water, it will get soaked. so when you come upto a creek or something, just slow down and dont go fast through it.

Does it make much noise when your riding?? The only reason im wanting this thing to be done is because of the noise. I prolly wont have to listen to this noise much longer, im gonna throw the top-end back together and no even look back on the piston. (its scarred, but not that bad)

Oh lots of noise.... mostly around 1/4 throttle.

Heres this vid of my bike from spring ( I know it sucks but I hadn't rode in months), in the second clip you can hear the intake noise better, but I think it sounds pretty good.

I know lol the tors box is such a pain in the ass.

For my velocity tube I used a rubber protective sleeve off radiator tubing from an old parts truck.

So just a plain piece of radiator tubing??? whats the diameter of this tubing you used??? Ive got the stock Mikuni 26mm...


Plus i would need 3 radiator hose clamps???

Wouldnt i need something to clamp the pod filter on, cause i could keep tightening the clamp but the rubber flex's . i \

i could take take a piece of exhaust pipe and have it stick out 3/4in so ii could clamp it on to something
