I'm not sure if there are any Avenged Sevenfold fans on here... but in my opinion I feel I should post this.

"HUNTINGTON BEACH James Owen Sullivan, a drummer and backup vocalist for the Southern California band Avenged Sevenfold, was found dead at his home on Monday, authorities have confirmed. Sullivan, who went by the stage name The Rev, appears to have died of natural causes, Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo said. Police were notified by firefighters who had responded to Sullivan's home about 1 p.m..."

The Rev was my favorite musician ever. This video is just a short dedication to him. The rock world will never be the same...

natural causes????? they are a decent band....sux to see another fellow musician dead tho..hate to see musicians die. usually its drug related.....

As much as I love this guy... I highly doubt it was of natural causes. As with many musicians, he drank heavily and I'm sure did his fair share of drugs...
 
thats what i was getting at...the reverend wasnt an old guy...so natural causes makes no sense.....had to be drug or alcohol related.....9 times out of 10 it is...
 
He was 28... no matter what he did he didn't deserve to go. No one deserves to go that young. I suppose that's life though.
 
r.i.p. rev, just saw them last spring with papa roach, good show and good drummer, sad to see so many of them 'em go, but mostly at they're own hands

but its kinda crazy all these youngish guys and girls dieing.....hmmm
the way i always looked at it was that a death in the band usually doesnt mean the band is ganna suck after, unless its a lead singer..

I here you but to me they will never be the same.I believe he is/was the heart and soul of the band.I will still listen to them when they replace him however I truely think it will be different than what they are now.
 
i never really listened to them but i know the feeling bro........alot of my favs that are now gone are, cliff burton( metallica), chuck shuldiner (death)...and of course dimebag!!......RIP METAL BROTHERS!
 
RIP man, i will always miss tis dude, they are my idols, i can never get enough of their music, and they were still workin on a 5th album, didn't finish yet dang!, i hope they stay together:(
 
man i can't beleive he's gone, i am jammin some afterlife on the comp. right now in tribute to him, god i will miss him, this sucks, i am so sad, you guys have no idea what these guys meant to me, they are and always will be my favorite and without jimmy "the rev" it just won't be the same, RIP dude
