Can anyone tell me where the vin # is located on a 2002 Blaster?

And is there a way to run the numbers to see if it is hot or not?
I'm looking at a Blaster but things dont add up and the guy is shady.

on the frame by the left footpeg i belive it is... did i win?

edit: winner!!! wooot first to answer the quick help!!! lolololol :)

i meant take the VIN number not the bike lol. and the guy who stole it most likely wouldn't know if it'd been reported or not, thats the only way i know of to run the VIN on a quad

yeah, keep you out of trouble and get it back to its rightful owner. i was think about how i'd feel if it was MY bike that was stolen and getting passed around like a peace pipe lol

try this one https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck not sure if it works for atvs or not but you can type atv vin check stolen under yahoo or google and should find a website that works. i did it with one of mine and it worked. if it was stolen recently and the people havnt reported yet that is another problem. also you might look for a vin decoder so you dont mess up the i's with the 1's and stuff like that.

Ok guys........

I looked on the frame. Theres nothing there. I went and looked at my Blaster and the vin # is clearly stamped on the frame. So I went back and look the other Blaster and it has clearly been grinded down.
Is it obvious it is hot? Or are there other #'s to run?
Thanks guys!

man i don't know of any other numbers to run, it may be hot or at least may have been, no for sure way to tell

after i painted my frame you cant see the vin......i just looked and i believe the vin is on the case of the engine under the carb

Hey guys.
There is a number on the engine case under the carb, but I'm not sure if it's a part number or the bikes vin.
Thanks for the fast help and answers!

the number in the case is not a 17 digit # so its not the vin the vin is only on the frame in that one spot thats all i have ever seen on a blaster the # on the case i think is the motor part # for the motor
