what is the easiest way to put a 14 tooth front sprocket on with out taking off the chain. Thanks

you can try to loosen it all the way and unbolt the sprocket and lift the chain up at the sprocket and slide the sprocket back towards the rear and try that but i dont know if you can without taking the chain off but i could be wrong
the chain wont go on the 14 tooth sprocket. it hits the engine how do you put this fu$%ing thing on?
Take your chain apart, pull the old sprocket off, put the new sprocket on and then put your chain back together and adjust it
ok so i got the chain on the sprocket... but now the chain is a loose as it goes but it is too short what should i do?
When i did this it fit mine luckily. Time for a new chain. Or you can get a chain tool and add a link. Sometimes you can buy what they call half links which you can add on to the masterlink. They are for situations when a full link wont work, maybe buy one of them would be easiest. Or just wait and get a full chain and grind it to fit. There would be no real way without buying something i dont think.
just get a master link and add to it my chain was too short from changing sprockets so much and when i the the 14/40 i had to add another master link.i have two master links on my chain
yes i use one from when i took links out.the easiest way i found is to take a grinder to one side of the link and grind the the 2 spots that stick up flat and take a screw driver and hammer the screwdriver in there and the link will pop right off.it only take about 3-5min
My chain was probably longer from more riding and wear i'm guessing. The axle carrier was probably 1/4" out from being pushed all the way in. When I got my swinger i had to get a new chain anyway.
the chain isnt long enough because i have a yfz 450 rear shock which raises the back up enough to not make the chain long enough.
if you get really desperate you can try to roll it on. Put the chain back together and take it off one of the sprokets and have it all the way around the other, the one thats off try to get it catch on a tooth or two and push it back or fowards which ever way to try to do it and try to have the wheels spin the chain onto the sproket. But i woundnt recomend this cause you could break a tooth or the chain it self, but like i said if you get desperate...
