so i was out riding yesterday with fed and his wife, and i was having a bad issue with the motor bogging out on the top end all day long. so today i pulled the plug and main jet to see what everything looked like and am quite confused by it.... i talked to fed bout it a bit and we decided that for sure we got to get out and do some plug chops on it, but i would also like to hear what other people got to say... right now i got a 230 main (if i was reading it right, only numbers i saw on it but they looked a bit wore and had some tool marks on it) and the plug is pretty much black on the whole thing..........

are you running the kawi 250 carb, or the stock blaster carb???
if stock carb, that jets too small, something else is causing the richness
hows the airfilter?? and if the float is out of sdjustment it will run rich too, i cased a big double once and knocked my floats out and it did a similar thing, also check for clogged pipe/silencer and cracked/chipped reeds

still rinning the stock kawi carb, the reeds are good yet, already looked at them. everything is clear no clogs, and the air filter is pretty dry and clean when it was doin this. and i'm not sure how to check the float adjustment, but i have seen that i have fuel dripping out the overflow while the wheeler is running....

Well see if the jet is bigger than stock size for the kawi 250, then you need more air, do you have any airfilter mods? Try taking the lid off and run it for abit. When I put my fmf on and put a bigger jet in, it was kind of doing a weird thing at full throttle, I just took the lid off and it worked AWESOME.

But maybe you could just get a smaller jet then you wouldn't have to take off the lid.
I could be wrong though.

well right now i was just running a uni pod filter right off the carb when it did that this past weekend, but this week i'm working on moving the pod filter back into the airbox so that it doesn't get wet and full of crap
