Ive been looking into buying the 240 big bore top end and i was wondering if i could use my stock crank on it? what would be the difference in power from the stock rod to the +3 rod. thanks for any of your inputs!:)

Yes you can use the stock rod, Though instead of a 240 kit. Pm "flotek" or "kenedy power" ask them about a port job. They will set you on the right track. Porting is by far the largest power increase for the money.

it's the vito's 240. well i was looking into it because im on my last bore so i might as well go big. would you guys recommend a 3+ rod if i port and polish the 240.

well actually i want to go cheap but would it be worth having to re-sleave the stock jug and putting a p&p on it. I dont think i will beable to port and polish the 240 to much $$$ so do you guys think i should just go with the stock p&p jug.ive got $500 to play with here.....:D

I think you'd be better off just buying a good cylinder off of ebay instead of resleeving your cylinder. Then send it out to get it ported.

nice quad stroker i have the same wheels. Just joined a lil while ago but have been lookin thru blaster forum a while. There is a 240 motor on ebay right now bid is at 300 it is from Ct i think. I purchased a new sleeve from LA was thinking of just boring like .20 with a pro-x and porting from flotekinstead of the 240 but i would love to have a spare are the 240's really that impressive?

That price is a great deal on a CT jug and the CT really is that impressive.

Don't bother boring a new sleeve its just a waste of money. The power you gain from boring is so small you'll never even feel it and that's just one less over bore you have to work with when you need it.

New sleeve or jug and a good port and polish will make more power than the un-ported 240 and cost less. So if you don't have the money to get the BB and a port job, I would personally go with a nice ported stock jug and a re-cut head w/high compression. plus this would be a bit cheaper

Well you can re-sleave youre jug with a 240cc L.A. big bore kit (around $250 ) and then have it ported ( around $150 ) better the b uying a new vitos engine for $500 and still need to port job.
