Hey guys I got another question. When I'm riding my blaster, it bogs way down until I get to a certain speed, even in first gear. Doesn't seem normal to me. Also it sounds like there a little bit of clacking going on in my motor or head. Any ideas?

I usually do and it just putts until it get to a certain speed, if it doesn't stall by then. I just took my air filter cover off to clean it and there's no air filter on it :o shame on the guy that had it before me.

Get a filter before you ride again.... you dont want to suck up any dirt or bugs or something...

How low of rpms are you talking? if you are low enough it will bog and stall in any gear....

yeah thats people for you....... before u ride it anymore, u need to check over the whole thing

things to do:
leak test
compression test
get a air filter ASAP

That could be detonation from a lean mix from no air filter.

Pull the pipe off and inspect the piston and rings for damage before you ride again.

And shame on you :-[ for not inspecting and maintaining your ride after purchase :o

In adition to what's mentioned a good carb clean is in order, seeing as the inside of it is probably as dirty as outside. Bog might be just from lack of filter.

Clean your carb, put an aftermarket airfilter on it, check your piston and rings. Also, if you use the oil injection on it, that may cause it too bog, mix your gas, don't make the same mistake I did.

Where on earth did you glean this bit of useless information from.

Oil injection has no relation to AFR.

It is with pre mix where the problems begin.

What's the stock injection mix at 32:1 just wondering? And do you run yours

Probably not a good idea to not look over a quad before buyin I always check the air filter on anything I buy. A well oiled and clean filter normally means the previous owner took care of it a little, and had some knowledge. Also check the gear oil to!

I say your carbs dirty from riding with no filter as well as probably running lean.

Compression test and leak test the bike. Clean the carb and put a New filter on. I think it will do the trick!

Stock oil injection is approx. 20:1.

As no oil passes through any jets in the carby it can have no relation to the air fuel mixture.

Have you checked the compression, as running without an air filter could have caused excessive wear from abrasive particles entering the induction tract.

Do I have to take the motor completely out to look up in the exhaust hole? Cuz there isn't enough room for me to stick my head down in there to get a good look at it

Alright guys thanks, the piston moves a little so I'm just gunna rebuild my motor and get it race ready but I have a few questions. I was looking at www.wildcardparts.com, is that a good place to look? If not, what is a good place? And I was thinkin of putting a 3mm stroker crank In it but it says you should get it ported? What's that mean? And I was looking at boyesen forged pistons but says it requires to be rejetted so what jets should I get? Thanks for the help guys
