pros n cons of lowering the front end

iv seen alot of ppl lower the front end I'd be worried about clearance n bump steering basically I'm asking why do people do it what exactly did they get out of it is it smoother ride or what

Clearance can be a problem , but on corners lower is better.

Bump steer can be tamed a little by adjusting it to toe out just a little more than stock.
