powerband question

first do the basics...pipe, v force reeds and airbox..then retune,,,if he wants to take it a step further, porting is a must. it directly effects the powerband..have a good port job done. then, if he wants to take it even further, have the head rechambered and milled...it will cost a few bucks, but youll have a good hard hitting powerband after that.and if that stil lisnt enough put a performance crank in it...it can go on and on and on..hahaha..all depends how much doe he has.. i have all that done to mine and it hits pretty good !!!
how can you not notice the power band??? hell my wifes blaster has stock exhaust, boysen reeds 240 main jet and no air box lid and you can clearly tell when it hits... in the dirt it start spinning the tires and on harder ground it pulls the front end up!!
hers is clear as can be, riding on trails. it gos from smooth accel almost feels sluggish.. to the exhaust going from a steady buuuurrrrr to BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa!!!! than ya gotta shift lol

^^^^ we all know what the power band is, he wanted to know how to make it better ...you can notice it !!! but in stock form i dont think theres anyone that can honestly say a blaster has a hard hitting powerband...because it just doesnt...with that said, after the right work done to it ,they are a great bike and can be made very fast (with the right mods). they are a wheelie machine in stock form because of the short length and lightness in weight..but not "hard" hitting or huge pull.. but with the righ tmods...hollllldddd on..haha...just my opinion !!!

first, is your buddy sure he installed the power band right when he got his blaster? if not there will be major problems.
ummmm. hahahaha. anyways. dan hit it on the head. i just got a nice top of the line pipe and a port and polish and my blaster pulls way harder now. i cant say that the HP went up 500%, but it clearly pulls harder from low to top end.

it runs awesome!!!!!!!! has way more torque than a blasty and handles so much better i love it, and if i ever wanna get the feel of the 2 stroke or its top end i take out the other blasty becuz the raptor doesnt have the same top end power the blasty does. but i gotta love this rappyI:Ibtw your blaster is one of my favorites here!! good job!!!I:I
thank you !!! my good friend that i ride with everyday just got the new honda 08 450r a few weeks ago, i took it out a few times ..man that thing has low end grunt ...but like you said the top end isnt as snappy as the two strokes. its definitly a different feel, but the low end torque is just AMAZING on that machine..and i gotta say the electric start is nice also..just push a button and gooooo

anyone can go buy a fast brand new quad for 8 grand....but NOT EVERYONE can hand build a custom 200cc engine to compete with a new fast quad, thats when a person truely loves to build and ride..theres not one bolt on my quad that i didnt wrench on myself. and theres allot of guys on here that feel the same way... I think the work PUNK in your screenname fits you well...btw, i have just a little 250cc engine on one of my toys, wanna race that new trx?????? lmao

oooo ooooo me too! 2 weeks of tuning, f*cking with mine just to find broken reed, lol, cuz i had the vf3's and i didn't take the reeds out to inspect, just visual, but yeah everything i got on mine, was done by me, and i think whoever goes and buy a quad for 8 GRAND IS A f*ckING IDIOT!!! and this is why, craigslist has that same quad for 3 grand less with a few upgrades on it already, like i said DUMBASS!

I agree. Spend 8g's or more for a new quad then buy the time your done modding, your out 12 grand
You can spend 3 grand on a used mx'ed out one rebuild it, modd it... and even you you spend 6000 on modds your still ahead.
Then 30-40hrs later you have rebuild it and thats lots of $$$$
