So i used to have a dirtbike. An rm250 that was given to me by a friend for free. I really wanted an atv for my first bike becuase i had already ridden alot of my friends atvs but beggars cant be choosers. I put $800 mods into the RM and made it very fast. Little to fast because on Sept. 11 during my second season riding tracks I crashed badly. I lost control and accidentally pinned the bike in 4th(thought i was in third) up the face of a jump. Landed me 2 weeks in the hospital with a badly broken leg. On the road to recovery I decided I wanted something a little more stable. Here is what i am looking at.

2000 Blaster w/ an oversize piston, freshly machined cylinder, and a new crank w/ only a few hours on the rebuild. He said the back brakes dont work at all which from what i have read is very common. The guy is asking $500 which i think is a steal. Tell me what you guys think

Off topic but have you guys ever had your blaster roll on top of you? Im gonna be honest and say im very afraid of injury again. Especially with a titanium rod in my leg.

thats a nice blaster for $500 man, i had my blaster roll ontop of me before, its a very light quad, did no damage to me besides give me a bruise or 2

if all the statements about the blaster are true ... then hell yea its a steal

blaster roll on top of me .. no, but im sure its happened to some, if anything its gonna roll over(sideways).. blaster r pretty narrow stock, a good set of a arms and shock wil fix that thou...

good luck

Around here 500 is a steal for a running blaster! I've never had a quad roll on top of me but I did have one flip and roll and land on my foot. Broke two bones in my left foot. Not too bad for riding them for the last 21 years

as far as the rear brakes ... get with awk08 on here he'll hook u up with awsome rear brake setup...WAY better than stock

if that blaster is in as good of shape as u say, u cant go wrong. id buy it

Yea seems almost to good to be true. I am gonna keep a sharp eye for a scam. Right now the challenge is my parents. There not to happy about me getting back on a bike after my injury

Where would i find new shocks and how would i widen it? Just longer axle or something?

What is the best place to find parts online. I always used denniskirk.com or motosport.com in the past and i cant find much as far as suspension parts

best place to buy parts, on here man. guys give really really good deals usually! also a banshee axle will widen the rear end and then flipping the front tires for the front. thats what im doing to mine right now. very cheap way to make it wider for sure.

oh and the best thing to do after a crash is to get back on asap so your not scared for the rest of your life, its way better to get back at it even if your riding alot more cautious at first lol

So a stock banshee axle bolts right onto a blaster? What year banshee would fit a 2000 blaster?

not sure why a noob 18yr old rider belongs modding a dirtbike for speed in the 1st place LOL. that's like changing a sprocket on a 600cc+ street bike for a noob lol. they have PLENTY enough power an speed for a noob stock imo.

yes, any year banshee axle will work :) they never changed too much things on those ever lol still as butt ugly every year LMFAO
